 WATER GARDEN PLANTS for 2017

Water hyacinth and water lettuce at $3.95 each

One-gallon marginals at $12.50 each

10" pots of hardy lilies at $35 each

Ready baskets at $19.50 each

Various 5" pots at $8.50 each

Having a water garden is a wonderful and fun garden feature in any setting.  Not only can you enjoy beautiful water plants like water lilies - for example, your pond will also attract some of nature's wonderful creatures such as frogs, dragonflies and butterflies.  You can also include goldfish.

You say you don't want the expense and maintenance associated with a water garden or lily pond?  Not a problem.  You can enjoy water plants in just about anything that will hold water - from a teacup to an old bath tub, half a whiskey barrel, a kiddie pool or a plastic or ceramic container.  Just remember to put the container where you want it - water is heavy (8 lbs to the gallon) and preferably where it will get at least six hours of sun.

Need help planning your container water garden?  A helpful site you may want to visit is the Deep Green Permaculture website at:  http://deepgreenpermaculture.com, which has some straightforward recommendations for container water gardens.  We here at the farm would also be happy to discuss your water garden plans with you.

Should you need help maintaining your water garden:  Contact Paul Trudeau at (508) 393-7151.  Paul is a reliable person who has many years experience in the maintenance of water gardens.

PLEASE NOTE:  Many of the water plants we will be offering are tropical plants (such as water lettuce) so our water plants will be available only after we are confident of frost-free weather.  If Mother Nature cooperates, we should have these plants available starting in the mid-May time frame.
