FARM ENTRANCE IN EARLY SPRING
Welcome to our farm and enjoy a step back in time with a visit to this circa 1740 farmhouse with its daylily and hosta gardens located in the central Massachusetts town of Berlin.  Owned by Elaine and Carl Wickstrom, this wonderful early farmstead is just an hour west of Boston or a brief twenty minutes northeast of Worcester... and only four miles from the Worcester County Horticultural Society's Botanic Garden, "Tower Hill" (www.towerhillbg.org)... and only four miles from the Solomon Pond Mall.
We have one of the largest selections of both new and old style daylily cultivars in Worcester County.  In addition to your grandmother's traditional favorite orange daylily, you can choose from a palette of yellow, lavender, plum, peach, red cream and near white... to name just a few.  Among the hundreds of varieties available to choose from, you will also find fragrant and reblooming varieties.  Daylilies are available in early, mid and late blooming cultivars ~ thus insuring a colorful garden throughout the growing season.  Daylilies thrive in the sun ~ yet will tolerate partial shade; they also grow well in average, well-drained soil and are highly insect resistant.  All of our varieties are solid performers in New England.
